A pack of large chunks of coarse crystal salt. This is a whole salt, rich in trace elements and minerals and sourced from deep underground seams of salt deposits from the foothills of the Himalayan region. Uniodised salt.. Protected from pollutants and impurities by nature, the salt was created as ancient seas evaporated and deposits created under huge pressure during the formation of the Himalayas some 240 million years ago.  This wonderfully blush coloured salt remains unrefined, untreated and free of additives. The large salt crystals are simply cut up, rinsed with water and sun dried naturally. The distinctive rose pink colour is a result of the high mineral content in the salt .

 

We like to ask the right questions here at the Natural Salt Seller and when we interviewed the supplier of this salt prior to purchase we also asked about the salts traceability, harvesting processes, impact on nature, its inherant purity and nutritional value.  The supplier knows and regularly visits the deep mine that this salt is harvested from and is in direct contact with the miners themselves.  Machines are used throughout the Himalayan mines and this mine is no different. The mine is particularly deep though so the quality is exceptional. Himalayan Rose Pink salt contains an almost identical set of elements as those in our body -84 of 92 trace minerals - in the same proportions as occur in our blood. The distinctive rose pink colour is a result of the high mineral content in the salt (iron,potassium and magnesium) all vital for good health.

 

Add to water to create a saturated 'sole' or 'solay' and use in a bath, foot bath or as a 1% dilution to make an energised mineral water to drink.
